The Delaware Fury 12U girls have done it AGAIN!
They go 6-0 at the Eastern Shore Invitational and bring home the CHIP!
On Saturday the girls went 3-0, outscoring their opponents 29-1.
On Sunday, they took the first game 8-0 and won the semifinals game by a score of 8-0 as well.
In the championship, the Fury girls found themselves in an epic back and forth game. Down 7-4, 8-7, and 10-8, the Fury girls never gave up. In the bottom of the 9th inning, down by 2, the Fury girls pushed one run across to cut the lead to 10-9. With two outs, and runners on second and third, Bella Holl hit a sharp ground ball to second which she was able to beat out. That scored the tying run and, in dramatic fashion, Brooke Currier rounded third and broke for home. Once the defense realized the winning run was headed home, it was too late. The throw was wide and Brooke slid in safely for a walk-off championship win.
There were so many moments this weekend. Homeruns, double plays, key hits, defensive stops. Every single girl on this team contributed. To see them persevere and win this tournament is truly special.
Congratulations

Fury girls! You got another one!

Go Fury ❤️🖤🤍
