Congratulations to the Delaware Fury 13u softball team for taking home the championship this weekend at the Autumn Harvest 14u “B” tournament. Samantha Stokes and Lindsey Roscoe, with the help of Kate Slaney, commanded the pitching circle to a 6-0 record. Backed by a stellar defense the team had 3 shutouts performances, including a 6-0 shutout in the championship game. The offense was explosive with a combined team batting average of .420, including 13 extra base hits. The power hitting duo of Lindsey Roscoe and Kate Slaney combined for 9 of the extra base hits, including 2 out of the park homeruns by Lindsey Roscoe. Other extra base hit power came from Savanah Arnold, Gracie Goad, and Siena Evans. Adison Weisenberger, Lily Edwards, and Kylie Vanhorn combined for 12 hits on Championship Sunday to add to the offensive dominance!Shout out to Charlotte Seiler for her “Top 10 ESPN” diving catch in centerfield to end the game and clinch the Championship for Delaware Fury! Way to go ladies on an absolutely amazing performance!
